Subject: [ferrethealth] Unusual behavior...what next?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have 3 yr. old neutered male who started exhibiting aggression and mating behavior with other ferrets in 6/08.
The Vet suspected either an undescended testicle or the beginnings of adrenal disease.
An exploratory surgery was done 7/08, no undescended testicle, and the left adrenal gland was removed. The aggression and mating behavior stopped immediatly after the surgery. Now, just within the last couple of weeks, the behavior has started again.
What's next? Does anyone think that Lupron or Melatonin might help here? I know that removing both glands can cause Addison's disease and other problems.

Mike
