Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: heartworms, ticks, fleas, mites: from last year
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

There have been a lot of back-and-forth exchanges on this, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer.... I want to summarize the question (and the assumption behind it, just in case that's faulty, then it can be corrected).

Assumption: Advantage in all its containers is the same dosage per ml (i.e. the concentration of the medicine is the same from the small cat to the large dog, it's just the number of fluid ounces in the tube that changes).

Question: How many fluid ounces (milliliters?) should be used on a ferret per pound? Or is there a specific amount that should be used on a ferret, no matter their weight?

Any info would be appreciated, as I am also about to treat my critters (cats and ferrets) and need to know.

Debbie
