I am a little confused. You found a newborn ferret kit in the bed with your ferret,dead? If it didn't come from her, where else would it come from. But a 5month old female is unlikely to go into heat, and get pregnant that early ( although I guess it could happen). If you don't have a whole male, then the only way would be if you bought her pregnant ( and you don't say how long you had her) , and I find that very unlikely, because if you bought her from a petstore, all the other ferrets with her would have been fixed as well.
Can you elaborate more? If you did find this dead baby ferret, did you bring her to the vet ? That would have answered all your questions.
