If it is is a Marshall Farm Ferret.. I have heard that they will pay the bill. If it has not been too long. You might want to talk to the pet store and or call Marshall Ferret for more info.
[Moderator's Note: some of the farms which supply ferrets
to many pet stores will pay for medical costs deemed to be
their responsibility such as botched ops, genetic problems,
certain kit illnesses, etc. In such as case the farms have you
arrange for a letter on vet letterhead, or have you send a
copy of the bill -- unless their ways of handling things have
changed. The ones with such warranties typically have them
for the original owner within the first year of life.
So, check the paperwork you have and call whoever bred
the ferret.]
