As I mentioned in my original post, we do know that some of the meds we aren't supposed to mix, but we are doing it anyway. We have been doing it for 6 weeks now with no ill effects. Originally, she was only supposed to be on Meticam for a few days because the vet knew that it didn't mix with Pred, but then there was such a difference once we took her off of it that we put her back on, knowing it was either die from the mix or die from the cancer. We had to take a risk at that time for her comfort. She was on Tramadol for pain which didn't work, which is how we decided on Bupronex and Meticam. However, I may try Torbutrol if that isn't the same as tramadol and see if that works better than the Meticam.
Also, she does not seem to be in any stomach upset, just trouble walking. She is eating a TON, presumably most of it is going to the tumors :(
We had her vet visit today, and the vet thinks it is fluid in her abdomen. I have my reservations that it is still Pred belly, but for now we are going to try Lasix and see if we can't shrink her belly down a bit. She even got stuck in the tubes last night her belly was so big! It also seems the tumors are getting worse, even with the Essiac, so that's dissapointing, but I guess she could have gotten worse even faster without it maybe? Who knows? Every day we get with her is a blessing.
Ursodiol is for elevated liver values. A quick google search said it also goes by 'Urso"?
Sincerely,
Cheryl
