Hi Joanne ... I have had several ferrets on proglycem, and the generic (diazoxide). I tasted it once, and that was enough for me! It is awful - right up there with Flagyl ... so what I have always done is mix it in their duck soup - a couple of tsp. of duck soup, a few sprinkles of ferretone - and it went right down. Many meds can be "hidden" in duck soup - but I always check with the vet first, to be sure. She OK'd it, and it was a breeze .... P.S. all my ferrets did great on a mix of pred, diazoxide and duck soup - all finally succumbed to other illnesses. Good Luck ... Joanne D.
