Carol,
My ferret Templeton had his spleen removed when he was about 4 years old. It was about twice the normal size. After surgery I had a slight problem with him wanting to do too much and me afraid he would open up his stitches. Other than that everything was fine. He will be 8 years old at the end of this month.
