Sometimes the vets don't do us any favors by suggesting we try something different when we've already braced ourselves for the worst. I took my elderly cat in twice to the vets to be put to sleep and twice he talked me into trying something new. I wish I'd have followed my first instinct. Shadow wasn't eating, or playing and had a large open sore on his face so he wasn't like Nexi where he is still enjoying his food.
