Subject: [ferrethealth] question from my vet

The shelter director asked me to post a question our vet had. Our vet lost a ferret today on the operating table...she had enlarged spleen & bad teeth. Spleen surgery went fine, but when he took her off the
anesthesia to turn her to work on teeth, she had a heart attack. He
felt really bad about it. Said it's happened to a couple other animals
and wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. This vet is very ferret experienced and has performed ferret surgeries for years.
