Subject: [ferrethealth] Viral Meningitis Contagious -- from Humans to Ferrets ??

Our shelter Mom has come down with Viral Meningitis, and is now at the hospital getting meds, and fluids. Can this be transferred to the ferrets? Could a ferret have brought it in? We will be having people cover the shelter ferrets ( both in Quarantine and in reg shelter), so any info would be great. Would like to know what precautions we need to put in place.
