Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret losing weight on hips

My ferret Badger seems to be losing weight right over his hips. When he wakes up he stumbles and has one-sided hind leg weakness. In February his litter mate Rascal had bloody diarrhea and was dehydrated. We still need to get a fasting blood test for him. So I wonder if Badger is suffering from Adrenal disease or Insulinoma. I'm getting really worried about him.
Has anyone experienced the dramatic thinning over the hips? My DH doesn't see it or feel there is a problem so maybe I'm overreacting.
