Did you notice what part of the body the hair loss began at? Is the hair loss symetrical? If it started at the base of the tail and it is symetrical, it may very well be Adrenal Disease. You can try some liquid melatonin. Look for a bottle at a health food store that states that 1mL of the product contains 1mL of melatonin. I used the brand Nature's Source. I gave 1mL with some ferretone at the same time every day. If that does work, take your guy into the vet and ask about Lupron and ferretonin or the option of surgery. A vet would certainly know best.

He was left outside for about 1 month or more at the end of last summer. Recently he has been losing hair all over his body. He still eats and is very active. I was wondering if anyone knew what this might be and have any idea how to take care of it without a vet. If I have to I will take him to a vet. Money is tight and if there is a home remedy out there I would like to hear it. Thank you very much.
