I wouldn't use it to calm them down. When 2 ferrets meet they will need time to adjust to one another, if they haven't been around another ferrets in a while it can take some time. Try let them "meet" in a neutral place- another part of the house they can play in for a short time. You can even wash there bedding to remove the scents. In my opinion I would not use the Milk Suplement/food for this. I would recommend this book to get for I find it to be a great reference :
