Something to be aware of is that IBD can be a precursor to lymphoma. I had a little guy with severe IBD, diagnosed through biopsy. We were able to control the IBD to some extent through prednisone, pepcid, feeding Innova Evo/Carnivore Care and regular treatments of antibiotics when his gut fauna would overbloom out of control (which would often happen due to his intestines being damaged already and the pred suppressing his immune system which would ordinarily help keep that fauna in check). The overblooms would cause severe diahrrea and gas bloating. Eventually his intestinal walls shifted from being damaged to being cancerous. The prednisone presumably helped delay the spread of the lymphoma, but eventually it did spread and at that point there was nothing else we could do--or would do, for his sake--to prolong his life.
