Subject: [ferrethealth] Spleen?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi everyone, can someone please tell me if its normal for a 8 month old
ferret to look as if he has an enlarged spleen? Someone mensioned that
it takes a yr.,for the baby fat and everything to balance out??? If my
instincs are right,he is exactly like my Scooter who I lost in augast.
Scooter was like this as a baby as well, but more fat like? I also see
peanut, that's his name, gets the hiccups after eating, just like my
Scooter did! I had only experienced hiccups with one other past
ferret, but nothing like what Scooter had. I still miss him so much
everyday! My god,it doesn't get easier. For those that know my
story, you're aware of what happened.,I don't want to get back into
that,as I still cry atleast 3-4 dys a week.. It looks like Peanut,is
almost a spitting image of Scooter, with these health issues. Deb

[Moderator: Time for a vet visit to be sure. Otherwise,
you will either worry yourself silly over nothing, or
wait longer than is optimal on something that may well
be treatable like a treatable infection blowing up his spleen.]
