Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] adrenal test
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi,

The ferret vets I've talked with (the ones who currently or previously
have cared for my ferrets) don't believe in the Tennessee Panel very
much. It seems to always come back as "possible" adrenal disease.
They no longer bother with it.

Ultrasound has improved quite a bit over the years to the point that
an enlarged adrenal gland can often be spotted that way. That is what
our current ferret vet does. Ultrasound costs range from $150-$300
depending on the vet in our area. (There is one who charges way more
but he is insanely expensive for everything.)

Hope this helps.
