I have 3- 5year olds on melatonin implants. We started with the oral melatonin, but after a short while it became ineffective, and I began to worry about the consistency of dosage. Everyone has gotten their fur back with the implants and are doing great. It really does help them. Their fur came in beautiful and soft, and their energy levels and temperament improved. I'm new to the old ferty business, (these are my first older kids) ,but everything I've read is supportive of the implants and if necessary, Lupron also. (I read everything I can), and my vet says that this is the first step to avoid surgery until necessary.
