Subject: [ferrethealth] Megaesophagus

HI there,
Is there anyone else here who has gone through a ferret dying from megaesophagus? I am still experiencing a lot of flashbacks and trauma from Linus dying, the faces and body language he had when he was trying to swallow and the way he would look so afraid and to us to help. Maybe you can contact me off board with some ways you felt better about it/got through it. Its been the worst death I think I have ever experienced in terms of visuals/sounds/a ferret going from really healthy to death. Maybe there is some support group someone knows for all animal owners, even those of dogs and cats, that have been through megaesophagus.
