If I recall right Pine Sol is a no-no with animals,
but check me on that. I can't recall is there is
a risk factor or if the smell could be a problem.

Let's see: from the ASPCA Animal Poisoning
Control site I did a search, but honestly ever since
they moved that site the search engine is miserable
and does not stay on topic well at all.
http://www2.aspca.org/site/DocServer/Vol_Cat_Foster.pdf?docID=5724
is about cats but potentially useful:
BEGIN QUOTE
Do not use strong smelling chemicals or cleaning products when washing the litter
box. The smell of vinegar, bleach or pine cleaners may cause the cat to avoid using the
litter box. Washing with soap and water should be sufficient. Letting the container air
dry is also a good idea, but it will be necessary to have a back-up litter box while the
other one is being cleaned.
END QUOTE

Later on it has a section on cleaning agents, so scroll down.
Sorry, but I did not see numbers on the pages.

http://www.aspca.org/online-community/transcripts/animal-poison-control-chat-transcript.html
has a CVT replying about pine oils ingested
from Xmas tree water and Pine Sol certainly works with
pine oils:

BEGIN QUOTE
Christmas tree varieties such as pine, spruce and fir contain essential oils and resins that may produce gastrointestinal irritation and minor nervous system depression if ingested in large enough quantities.
END QUOTE

The pot sleeping may be because it smells familiar
and therefore secure while they are in a new setting,
so if you can fit two litter pots let the one for litter
stay a bit dirty-ish for a while, and put some blankets in
the other one for a bit. Wait longer than usual between
changing blankets as they are adjusting to the area.
