This subject has highlighted the inadvisability of using injectable anesthetics on ferrets.
Dr Williams said years ago that only gas anesthesia should be used.
My own ferrets always have a note on their file at the vets that they should never be given injectable anesthesia or sedation without my express permission (in case of some extreme circumstance).
