If you are not doing so already, try giving him more frequent, but smaller meals, between 4 and 5 hours apart. The same thing with the Prednisone. Try reducing the amount in each dosage but give it every 8 hours, if you are not already doing so. Also, you say that you are using Prednisone. You might want to try Prednisolone instead, which I believe is easier to metabolize if a ferret may have a compromised liver.

If you check the FHL archives you'll probably find mixed feedback on Diazoxide. It works for some ferrets, but not for others.

Insulinoma is a progressive disease, but it does not progress at a 'steady pace'. When hypoglycemic seizures begin then the disease is fairly advanced, and such seizures can occur more frequently. You have to be very diligent with keeping as steady a flow of food and meds in his system as possible to fight off all of the excess insulin that causes the seizures.
