Subject: [ferrethealth] another agressive female question
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have a pair of 4 year old ferrets. They have been friends and cage mates for at least 2 years. They were separated for 2 days when the male had a mass removed and had stitches. Ever since then she is very aggressive with him.
I tried bathing them and letting them fight it out. I have always had to separate them because of blood or diarrhea. The male doesnt fight back, he runs and hides. It seems that she became way too aggressive considering they were friends.
They were rescued so I dont have all details on them, but she has had adrenal disease and has had surgery. The vet hasnt recommended Lupron because she has no more symptoms (hair loss...)
They are separated all the time now. Anyone have suggestions or similar situations? Thanks.
