G'day,
A little paranoia may be good.
Over a year ago our ferret Feddy, neutered, 5 years old, did not shed his wintercoat. This was the first time this happened. There is nothing to worry about, I was told. But he also started to develop a strong smell. We all know ferrets stink, I was told. I was worried. Then suddenly he dropped most his fur and not long after he died of an adrenal disorder. Fur change is regulated by hormones. So keep a close eye on the litte guy. And watch out for any other signs.
Regards,
Ben
