For those wanting to learn more about PBDEs to avoid ferret exposures:

It was interesting to me that their cousin the mink so readily
shows endocrinological problems with this pollutant at levels
below those which affected rodents tested.

PBDEs are fire retardants so they also save lives. Difficult
balance...
