>From experience with the hairloss on the tail, I would say take jojo to the vet now. I have went through that with Eve last year. I was told that it is normal for female ferrets to lose tail hair in the Jan / Feb. But her loss continued far after that time frame. I found a vet who had more knowledge on adrenal issues and she had her surgery. She is doing fine and has recovered nicely from the whole ordeal. Emma didn't have the hair loss on the tail, ,but a small bald spot at the base of the tail. She also had episodes of vomiting although no loss of appetite. She had right adrenal surgery and still has a tumor on the left. We have decided to treat with lupron instead of the other gland being removed. So it all depends on what you want to deal with, personally I would take them in for the peace of mind that goes with knowing what is really wrong.
