I disagree. In my experience, ultrasound often completely misses adrenal disease, even when the person doing it is experienced. However, the ferret adrenal panel, run only by the U of Tenn, can be a very good diagnostic tool. As for cost, the U of Tenn charges $65.00 to run the test and if your vet goes directly through them it shouldn't cost you much more then that (I've never paid more then around $100.00, which is comparable to, if not better then, the cost of ultrasound).
