Subject: [ferrethealth] Proper Dosage of Revolution
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I've read past posts by Dr. Murray, Julie Fossa, and others that talk about the dosage of Revolution needed for prevention of heartworms. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any kind of link or results of any kind of studies about where that dosage information comes from. I've been using the cat 5-15 lbs. size for our ferrets for 2+ years without any problems, from May thru October, but now, for some reason, our vet is questioning the dosage and saying that it's too high, and he didn't renew our prescription for it (which I have been getting from 1-800petmeds). So, I wanted to present him with some kind of evidence that has led to the determination that this is the proper dosage needed for the prevention of heartworm in ferrets.
