Thank you so much for the detailed reply,

His health has limited what tests we could do. The vet attempted to draw fluid from where he appeared to have fluid in the abdomen and was not successful. We did an xray that showed the swelling and no visible blockages on the X-ray. His health has really been to poor for us to feel comfortable drawing blood.

He started off skinny and had a swollen belly which has grown more swollen. We suspected worms even though they are rare in ferrets and had a fecal done, but it was clean.

His feces were normal when we first brought him home, though recently he started showing the typical ECE green Diarrhea however I've never seen the swollen abdomen like this with ECE before and his sister is fine other than maybe a very slight softening of her stools.

He did pass one piece of litter when we first brought him home, but his stool did not show signs of being long and stringy or other indications of a blockage.

He has an excellent appetite, he eats all the time and well more than twice what his sister does even though she is twice his size. He also grinds his teeth when he eats, this started a week after we brought him home and got more noticeable since.

We put him on Pepcid AC and pedealyte for tooth grinding and dehydration. He was sinking fast then the vet gave him Carafate and metronidazole. He's stabilized and his diarrhea stopped for the most part. He's got his hydration and energy back but his belly's still swollen.

If you have any other suggestions they are definitely appreciated.

Thank you,

Az
