Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Increased Urination...any ideas..
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Guille does not often potty in his box, but rather outside on his potty
pads...
That being the case, I am able to see the urine and it is most deffinately
yellow.

As far as smell... there was only a 48hr period several weeks ago where it
smelled like after you eat asparagus, but that quickly resolved. His
prostrate was checked via ultra sound.

I do know to make sure he eats... He gets 1/2 jar baby food in the am and
then for lunch soaked kibble, for dinner 1/2 baby food and before bed
soaked kibble. His weight is remaining steady at 2.8lbs... he is weighed
daily to monitor for weight loss.he has gotten baby food for some time now to
suppliment his insulinoma...and we are feeding this way instead of a duck
soup mix to encourage him to go back to kibble w/o getting spoiled... so he
is getting all the food/nutrients he previously did. He has doe to eat
kibble but this was few and far inbetween.. He is monitored quiet closely.

I work, and sleep in the same room w/the ferrets so I am w/them
constantly.... there is no straining to urintae and no frequent trips to the box...
I have only noticed that the liter is more mosit than normal, which lead me
to take him him... (he will use the box if it has not been soiled too much
yet..then he uses his pads).

He will be having his blood work taken because he is due.... He has had
his prostrate (spelt wrong) ultrasounded. His activity is 100%, as a
matter of fact...he is a hand full!
