I think that this post leaves this at a good place.
Tressie is going to try to find if there is a way that
those OUTSIDE the U.S. *might* be able to reduce
the cost of getting the TN Ferret adrenal panel run
by having their vets interact directly with the University
of Tennessee. That *might* vary country to country
depending on national laws.
Meanwhile, those within the U.S. can have their own
vets send their specimens directly which greatly cuts
costs compared to having them sent through a
middleman as is often done.
Here is where the needed information is, and those
outside the U.S. will want also to see what Tressie
discovers and perhaps investigate options for sending
from their nations, or seek labs in their own countries
that will measure ALL of these same compounds
because the tests used for Cushings are useless since
that is way to different from ferret adrenal disease.

Not all tests are available in all regions of any country,
and some types of medical tests -- of multiple types,
and that is true for humans as well as for animals --
sometimes not only have to be out of state, but
sometimes in completely different nations because
they are so specialized.
Not realizing this is pretty common (speaking as
someone trying to track down mitochondrial
variation testing for RRMF for someone...).
