-so has the LAW passed yet that says ferrets in alabama MUST have rabies shots.. or is it waiting for the thursday vote.?
i live in alabama and my ferret is soo allergic to the rabies shots i am wondering if the vet could give him a letter that said he could not take them.?????? any advice?
[Call your legislator and ask for the wording of the Bill.
Usually they say that if there is a medical reason --
determined by the treating veterinarian --to not
do so then that's okay.
Of course, if your ferret bites someone then there
could be real trouble so precautions to not get into
that sort of situation such as no walks w ferret...
More details on the Bill itself really are NOT the
subject matter of this site, though, so pursue that
