Subject: [ferrethealth] Adrenal Panel Cost

Just to double check myself, I've been going through my records. So far I've found three statements that include the adrenal panel. Two are dated 2003. Cost for the panel at that time was $60.00, shipping fee is listed as $17.95. No other costs are listed. The most recent is dated March 31, 2008. On this one the fee for the panel is listed as $135.20 (I will assume my vet added his own fee into this), with shipping listed as $26.40. Total for the panel, including my vets fee, $161.60. Total with tranquilization (which was needed to draw blood from this ferret, as he had severe aggression issues and could not be handled, but was never needed with any of my others), is listed as $45.00. Not quite as cheap as it used to be, these days nothing is, but still a far cry from what some others have quoted ($500.00? I can't imagine it, that's appalling!).
I look forward to seeing what Tressie is able to find about costs to those in Canada.
