This is probably "way out there" so definitely check with your vet before trying this. I have shih tzu doggies who are prone to yeast infections in their ears. I mix 50:50 vinegar:water and flush their ears out weekly. I wonder if there is something similar that might be done, such as adding some vinegar daily (weekly?) to her soup.
This is probably way off base but I do know that vinegar is great for getting pH balanced. I "think" that apple cider vinegar is better than white vinegar, but a professional would know best.
I have safely used apple cider vinegar orally with teeny-tiny wildlife with no ill results.
