Some of the genera (or perhaps just
some of their species of this parasite
grouping (3 genera and multiple species
in two of those found in ferrets) can be
hard to culture.

I don't know if anyone has tried it but
this worked for a different species of
Eimeria:

and if you search under each genus name
and the word "culture" you'll find some other
approaches. In fact, you might want to use
the fully binomial (2 word name) of each species
that ferrets get because what works for one
species in a genus can not be relied upon to
work for other species, let alone work across
genera (and there may be more species
documented in ferrets since this work:
