The suprelorin is a fixed dose implant (4.7mg the only size) which
nominally lasts for 12 mths. The ferret with the implant should be
checked for return of any symptoms from 8 mths after implant. The
current advice seems to be to have regular implants at 12mth
intervals unless early return of symptoms indicates an earlier
reimplant. In any individual ferret the implant may last longer than
12mths - up to 4 years has been quoted, so you can play it by ear
if no symptoms have been seen at 12 mths+.
But be sure to check for any symptoms regularly as the problem may
come back at a faster rate than the initial symptoms.
My Sugar still seems good at 9 mths and she is much more placid than
she ever was before the implant (testosterone ratio?).

Tony (not a vet), Sugar and Suki.
In memory of Sally and Sue.
