Thanks for replying. I had a ferret who was diagnosed at age 4 with adrenal disease and treated with Lupron and oral Melatonin for around 2 1/2 years. She didn't have a rough, dry coat, hair loss or thinning and really didn't exhibit behavior that lead me to seriously think she had it. I just decided to have her tested due to her age and it came back positive. So while giving Lupron at age 5 sounds like a good idea, it might end up being more of a treatment than a preventative for some.
