I am in Regina, Saskatchewan, which has no experienced ferret vets in the area (even the vet who has seen ferrets for 20 years in my opinion doesn't know much ferret specific stuff). There is a vet school about 6 hours away, but that isn't really an option.
They did look at his teeth and said they looked bad, but didn't find an abcess. We looked at his teeth again just now, and on the front ones, it is all white and gooie. I don't know how to explain it. So hopefully we can try something else tomorrow at the vet.
Bloodwork wasn't done for some reason. And they did take a urine sample, but didn't tell us what was found (I think she forgot to mention it). Even though I told them I suspected Kidney problems. You have no idea how frustrating it is that the vets here are learning from me (and I am NO expert or anywhere near!)
