I do not believe that the pancytopenia was caused by the antibiotics. He was originally placed on the clavamox after his BG crashed. Due to the stress of the crash he had nasty poos and dr. wanted to prevent infection. When he developed the fever he was placed on the second antibiotic (Baytril). I will ask about possibly contributing to his condition.

Peek - a - Boo (other ferret) responded well to her first dose of Ferratonin implant and lupron injection given at same time. She continued to respond to future lupron injections given in 3 month intervals after first 3 monthly. Since she was doing so well when we were able to get the suporelin implant in February we opted to give it a try. She was given the implant in February. She did not loose any fur between the lupron injection and the suplorelin implant. However towards the end of the lupron injections effectivness period around Mid January she began to have that very strong musky odor and her Vulva swelled. She was given the implant the first week in February and she still has a very very strong odor and her vulva has not reduced in size. She is now showing some hair thining along base of her tail and knuckles. As it is now 4 months past the date of implant, our vet has said most likely she is not responding. She is now on my surgical list.
