Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret Help, please
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I am new to the group, I have four ferrets. My male, Sid, born June 2006 has started to cough and wheezing. I also believe he has a fever. I have him here at work with me right now. Is there anything that I can give him to help until I can get him to the vet? It started the other day, I heard some gagging, I thought hairball and gave everyone some ferret lax, came home last night, he sounded worse, I gave just him some more ferret lax, so I could make sure he got it. He is the big alpha male of the business. 4 lbs at one point, vet had us tone down with the food, did not help much. He is just big. He does not feel well, he is just willing to have us hold him. He is the most laid back on the bunch but not that laid back.

Thanks,

Desi
