I took him back to the vet this morning he finally pooped so I could take in a stool sample. Had blood in it as well. Bright red blood. Noticed a few more spots that were all liquid. I checked on him every hour thru the night so this was only at 8am. I took him to the vet at 9am. She did a smear and just said that it was full of white blood cells. Didn't say much else about it. She did an xray. There is something in his stomach the xray showed but he hasn't eat at this point for 2 days and she just kinda played it off as it being food. She gave him fluids and told me to keep giving him the medicine the vet the day before gave me. This was a diff vet but at same clinic. I got to thinking about it more later and called her to discuss more about the object and discussing if it was a blockage. What she said was if it was a blockage that he would be vomitting. As far as I can tell I noticed one possibility of vomit that morning. He is feeling a bit better
today but still has quite a bit of diarrhea. He even started drinking some water on his own. He ate one of his "cookies" but I haven't been successful w/ babyfood or wetting his dry food or even dry food plain at this point. The vet just said I should call her in the morning if he's still not eating. I've checked his mouth and teeth. No ulcerations there. No skin or hair problems. She mentioned she wasn't too worried about it being viral cuz my other ferret isn't sick at all.
