Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret thyroids?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Okay I'm wondering since ferrets r so prone to adrenal disease, and
thyroid and adrenals r so related, has anyone seen a case of thyroid
disease in a ferret??? A ferret with graves disease,or hashimotos?? I
know its not funny, but it sounds so cute. I've never seen a post saying
my ferret has hashimoto thyroid. All kidding aside, since hyper thyroid
is so common in cats,I wonder about this? I do know ferrets have little
thyroids,so cute! So why don't we hear anything about this?anyone have a
tsh,ft3,ft4 and thyroid antibodies,tpo,trab,run on a ferret? Yes I'm
crazy... Deb
