He is going to be observing her clinical symptoms, which at the moment are primarily the size of her vulva.

In order to monitor her hormone levels blood samples would have to sent to a lab experienced doing them such as Tennessee and it is too prohibitively expensive to do this from Canada.

He is not conducting a formal study.
