The ferret's owner had considered adrenal disease early on and the ferret did receive a Melatonin implant about 3 months ago. The excessive itching began after Imodium was added to the medication regimen. I haven't heard of any issues with Imodium use in ferrets, has anyone else?
Also, this little guy's owners do not use any flea preps on their ferrets other than Revolution. The ferret's marrow is fine at this point, with no problems found in the bone marrow testing.
The biggest problem, I believe, is his PCV% which continues to stay low even after two transfusions of blood.
