Hello,

One of our girls Flicka was just diagnosed with DKA (not sure I have that right). I took her to the vet this morning because she showed no interest in play last night and this morning she had an upset stomach. My vet is researching also, but she's given a very poor outlook because it's so rare in ferrets. Flicka is 3 nas not had insulinoma surgery, had a blood glucose of over 600 and ketones in her urine. She's had fluids, antibiotics and a low dose of insulin before coming home with me. She won't eat, not even ferretone to give her a little boost, but she still has the runs. The vet has checked with specialists in the area and they aren't able to treat her either. I'm just hoping someone may be able to offer some treatment options since I'm waiting to see that she doesn't have a reaction or overdose to the insulin she had received earliertoday.

Thanks

[These may help since the type of insulin matters:
