When is the last time he visited the vet? That is the first thing you need to do. Ferrets can have MANY different problems or illnesses, and some are easily treated. However, if they are ignored too long, then even the lesser problems can escalate to the point where they can jeopordize your ferret's life. If he has 'gone thin', then he may not be eating or drinking and could get dehydrated rapidly. Get him to a vet right away.
