Off to the vet immediately, please.

Black and tarry is caused by upper GI bleeding, and diarrhea
has its own set of risks for ferrets.

Apparently, since the last maintenance work that Yahoogroups
did the links to some resources are not working so hopefully
there will be time this week to check all, OR perhaps Yahoogroups
will repair that in which case this can be linked to from the
Files section.
