why do you make this statement? what is wrong with injectable anesthetic??

Gas anesthesia can be stopped rapidly if a problem
arises such as a heart problem or hypothermia, so
it is safer. An injected anesthesia instead remains
in the body. Years ago injected anesthesia was
used more in the U.S. for ferrets and the rate of
death during and soon after surgery was higher
than it has been since most vets have gone to
using gas more or using it totally.]
