Regarding mentioning Dr Murry's help, he helped me through this list and later through email, sorry if I broke a rule, I didnt think this would apply for help given through this list.
[It is perfectly fine to mention help given through the
list because that is already public to the FHL membership.
What is not mentioned on the FHL is vet help OFF the
list, so no naming treating vets or their hospitals, and
so on. That is actually something veterinarians requested.
There are three reasons:
1. Vets feel freer to comment if they don't know who is
treating.
2. If a treating vet makes an honest mistake, has a very
hard case, or is learning it could be embarrassing and that
just isn't fair.
3. Early on at the FHL -- I guess about 8 years ago or
more -- a non-vet took exception to what a treating vet
was doing for a member's ferret. The treating vet was right
and the treatment was exactly what was needed, but the
non-vet harassed the treating vet and that also just is not fair.
Most of the FHL rules were actually written by vets. Some
were carried over from vet designed rules from an earlier
effort and some came into being as experience taught us all]
