Suki has finally healed after her op (21 days). The left side healed very quickly but the right side had been more difficult to remove and resulted in a larger incision. There was more inflamation and swelling and the wound weeped for a few days. There is no consequent damager to her sphincter muscle and the whole experience did not bother her at all after the first 3 days.
This was the first time my vet had done this op on a ferret but he had done cats and dogs previously. He did say that he really should get a better magnifier!!

Tony.
My home is ferret proof - my heart is not.
