Ulcers usually result in dark, tarry poops, not seedy poops. Carafate will help to heal ulcers, when properly given about 30 minutes before meals, but I don't know if it will do anything for the 'seedy' poops, or the mucuous.

The 'seeds' in the poop you describe are undigested fats. Other posts have mentioned that the EVO may be tough for him to digest properly and that's possible. You can try changing foods, but I would also suggest trying Forti Flora. It supplements the 'good' bacteria in the digestive tract that may be lacking for various reasons. We have 2 ferrets with recurring digestive problems and when the seedy or mucuosy poops flare up, we supplement a little of the Forti Flora in their soup, and things improve right away. I usually have to do this once a week. It's a powder that comes in packets, and about 1/8 of a packet for one ferret works pretty well. The Forti Flora was originally recommended to me by one of the prominant vets in this group.

I purchase it at the following link thru Amazon. Quick delivery and the best price I've found:

If you don't feed any kind of soup, you might be able to mix it with a little ferretone.
